Chapter 3

Lucy and I arrived just for lunch, we had an uncreative conversation, I felt uncomfortable, the last time that I shared a table with another family was a long time ago and even more time with that family.

Lucy told me to go to her room and, as I stepped in the room started the barrage of questions about the man and the boy from the shop, Mark.

- When are you going to call Mr. ... .. Fletcher? When are you going to return to the store? Do you like the dependent? Because I think he likes you. Eh Eh answer.
- Stop! Question by question I'm not a machine! - Made a little pause – OK, to the first question ... I guess I'll call him today, to the second .... I have no idea, and the third ... is good looking guy, he is not Dougie Poynter but close enough.
- Call him now! Now! In front of me and connect hands-free!
-Okay, okay, calm down.

I pulled my phone from my pocket and the card of the man, I sat down on the bed with Lucy, I marked, picked up the phone and put the hands free. A tone ... .... Two tones… three tones ... ... ... .. "Hello?" A man's voice suddenly sounded.

- Hello! My name is Christina, I'm the girl who was playing in the music store ... .. you told me to call you.
-Yes, I remember. Well? Are you interested? - At that time I was locked, wasn’t sure, but Lucy with her “lovely” pushing, helped me to continue
-Yeah, if I hadn't been interested I wouldn't had called you.
-You're right. Let's see, is it okay to come to the studio this Friday at about 6pm?
- Emm ... Yeah, no problem!
-Perfect, just prepare 3 songs, if you need a band to play a song, just bring some music scores and the song that you wanna play, and the musicians will help you, if the songs are acoustic versions and you don’t need help, you don’t need nothing, here we have pianos, guitars….
- Okay! Well in I see you in 4 days, thank you for giving me this opportunity.
-Don’t thank me, you're very talented and I’m just taking advantage.

We said goodbye and hung up. Now I had to think about what songs I would play.

- Well? What songs will you play?
-Well, the onestly, I have no idea.

At that time my phone rang, it was Carlos, my ex

- Hello?
- Chris?
-Yes, tell me.
-Your mother said you went to London, I needed to talk with you, please forgive me, I know I made a mistake.
- Don’t you think it's too late to apologize? And by the way , Did you talked with my mother?
-Yes, I talked to your mother when I went to your house to talk with you. I made a mistake, but hope you could forgive me.
-What? A mistake? I gave you everything! And you just used me to get back with that bitch! What did you expect? Clapping for you, and now crawling to get back with you? No mate, that’s not going to happen, asshole! - Hung up.

Lucy was looking at me surprised, waiting to tell her what had happened.

-I think I know what's going to be one of the songs.- I got up and went straight to my room, Lucy followed me somewhat stunned.

Chapter 2

When we arrived at Lucy’s house she indicated to me where was going to be my room those days, my intention was to find a job in London and to buy a house to me by the zone. My room wasn’t too big, but it was enough to sleep Rid the bag, and placed my laptop in the small desk that was under the window, I switched it on and I wrote in a paper the directions of my list of companies for which I would like to work. Then Lucy entered.

-Have you already installed?
- Yes, one question, have you got printer? I need to print copies of my curriculum.
- Sure, follow me.

She took to me to a small office where it used to work her father. I made copies of my curriculum and we returned to my room. She lay down in the bed and I keep working in my computer.

- What do you want to do today? - She asked as she was just yawning..
- Well ... I was going to these companies to look for work of mine- I show her the list that had removed from Internet -you could come with me, I still don’t know the city and if you want, when we finish, we can go to take a coffee or something.
- Sounds good, let me see the list.

She stood staring a few seconds, thinking where it was each place, she said they were not too far, and with the car we would be immediately. I turned off the computer and went to his car and we went to her car. Our first destination wasn’t hard to find, I got determined and confident but I did not get many hopes. I continued maintaining my positive energy, but on reaching the number 10 on the list my mood was low. On the way to the next direction we found a music store,  I told Lucy to park the car, that I wanted to cheer up a bit.

We went in and I went straight to my favourite guitar, I asked the employee if I could prove it, at first he was against but at the end I finished convincing him. At first I began by The heart to never lies, just the chords, but the lyrics, that I was following by heart, that song depressed a little to me. I changed of song, this time I began to play Party girl, with this I couldn’t avoid to sing it, the people who were in the store was looking at me, but didn’t care, I was singing one me of my favourite songs with one of the best acoustic guitars.

At the end of the song, the people began to applaud to me, I realized that there were many more people than at first, a man who looked familiar to me gave a card me and he said that he wanted to make me an audition in his recording studio, he said that I had to call him if I was interested in having a musical career. The man went of the store without buy anything, I looked at the card, he was called Mattew Fletcher, he was a manager. His last name remembered me to Tom, but gave no importance, I kept the card and I left the guitar in its site.

- You sing very well- said the employee – my name is Mark.
- Thanks, I’m Chris- I shook his hand.
- Hey, I was wondering if you could come play one more day, the business is better if they see someone with talent playing inside.
-Sure!
I said goodbye to that nice guy and I left the store with Lucy. In the car, I told her about that man, without hesitation she told me:

- Call it! What are you waiting for? Don’t you come here looking for work? However, this sounds like a work, and if it doesn’t work, Don't give a fuck! You have much talent

I had never thought about having a career as a pop star or something like that, I started playing the guitar because of my father, also I played the piano because of my grandfather, both my father and my grandfather from an early age "forced me " to enter in the music world, but I actually quite liked playing.

- How do you say I called that agent?
-Matthew Fletcher.
-Fletcher… like Tom Fletcher? Don’t they have anything in common?
-I really don’t know, the fact is that he looked so familiar to me and I think that he has something in common with Tom, but right now I'm so locked that I can’t think with clearness, I think I'll leave it for tomorrow, today was very weird.

Chapter 1

Like any 16 year old girl, I was totally in love with a boy that I’ll never meet. My parents thought I was crazy for thinking that would have a chance with him, but they said nothing to me because of my crush on him made my English grades improved significantly, I pass to suspend with a 4 to approve with an 8. Dougie Poynter made me interested in my studies and that was all that my parents liked.

Years passed and I continued with my infatuation with the difference that it was four years older and a year ago I completed my degree in realization. I chose to study realization, partly because I loved everything about the editing of videos and audios and I thought that if I work in a famous television or a major label I could meet my platonic love, but had already been a year since I graduated and had not yet managed to work anywhere and Spain was not to give me a job.

After a year of searches and rejections, I was depressed while not leaving my room even to eat. I only left my room to go to the bathroom, but the bad part of those outings was that if my mother caught me in the hallway she crawled me into the kitchen and forced me to eat something.

I got so depressed that my parents didn’t know what to do to cheer, they decided to make me the gift that I always desired, a trip to London. That made me a little happier, but my mind immediately associated London with Dougie and I remembered that he would never be mine. I hid this feeling that I had remembered and began to prepare the trip to London. I decided that not only enjoy the trip, I would recover the lost time in Spain and seek work there and I would try to recover the contact with one of my best friends who, for family reasons, had to move to London.

I took a list of all record labels and TV channels that were in London and the surrounding area. I prepared my bag and my most precious asset, my computer, I would take with me basically because I was writing my diary on it, and anyone would read it in my absence.

The day came, my flight was earlier than I expected, so I got up early, before leaving I went over everything if I forgot something. Lucia would be waiting for me at Heathrow airport. I was very nervous, because the planes weren’t my best friends and was looking forward to see Lucia.

On the plane I started to practice my English with the lady who was sitting next to me, because of her I stopped thinking about the trip and I relaxed a little.
The trip was uneventful, we landed without any problems and just on time, after I took my suitcase, I went through a door that led to a huge room full of people, I sought to look at Lucy, it wasn’t very difficult not finding her she was wearing a sign that welcomed me and into a corner she had hooked a picture of Dougie. I ran to hug her, I missed her so much.

London looked so beautiful, I loved everything I saw, but that image of the city that I  had wanted so badly to visit didn’t tell me what I was going to live there it would completely change my life.
